Education
Ben believes that cost should never be a barrier to accessing the healthcare we need. As your State Representative, Ben will work to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare for all Pennsylvanians, control rising health insurance premiums, provide consumers with greater transparency when purchasing insurance and medical services, and pass legislation to encourage better patient outcomes and healthier communities.
Pennsylvanians are proud of the public schools in their communities, but in order for them to succeed, we must provide them with the funding that they need. We must also correct the high degree of inequity between districts. Ben will fight to ensure that all of Pennsylvania's children are given the quality public education they deserve; which we have a duty to provide.
The Environment
Gun Safety
From toxins in our water to the impacts of fracking, Pennsylvania faces a host of threats to the integrity of its environment. Ben will ensure that polluters are held responsible for the damage that they do and that all Pennsylvanians have the clean environment that is guaranteed by our constitution.
Ben supports common-sense gun safety legislation, such as universal background checks and gun violence restraining orders, that will make all Pennsylvanians safer. He has been designated a Common Sense Candidate by Ceasefire PA and is ready to take on the NRA in Harrisburg.
Workers' Rights
A Balanced Budget
Pennsylvania's workers are its greatest natural resource and we take pride in our history of union leadership. Ben will fight to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania and spearhead legislation that empowers unions to negotiate better compensation and safer workplaces while discouraging anti-union practices.
Pennsylvania is currently maintaining a $3 billion structural deficit. Ben's professional experience as an accountant and Abington Township Commissioner give him the knowledge and experience needed to help balance the budget by tapping into new sources of revenue and eliminate wasteful spending and unnecessary tax loopholes.

Gerrymandering
Hate has no home in the 153rd district and Ben will take those values with him when we send him to Harrisburg. He will fight to make sure that our laws do all that they can to prevent discrimination and ensure accessibility in education, employment, housing, voting rights, criminal justice, and every other aspect of society.
Here in Montgomery County, we are already seeing the benefits of ending our state's Congressional gerrymander, but our State House and Senate districts are still some of the most unfairly drawn in the country. The next state legislative redistricting is just around the corner. Ben will support efforts to establish an independent commission that will draw fair districts to ensure that all Pennsylvanians’ votes are counted.
Infrastructure
Supporting Families
Of Pennsylvania's more than 22,000 bridges, over 5,000 are considered structurally deficient by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the highest percentage in the nation. Pennsylvania desperately needs an infrastructure overhaul. Through smart investment in infrastructure projects, we can make our state a safer and more vital place, while creating jobs and stimulating our economy. Using his experience as a real estate attorney and accountant, Ben will guide this critical investment in our future.
Endorsed by Planned Parenthood, Ben understands that reproductive decisions should be made away from government interference. Moreover, there are ways that our legislature can support family-friendly policies, such as paid parental leave, access to birth control, and wage equality, all of which could serve to make those decisions less complicated.
